On November 4, the Valley REN hosted the Innovation in Culinary Tourism Summit as part of Devour! The Food Film Fest in Wolfville.

The topline message from our expert panel was: Work with your community to grow your local economy by creating experiences and products to attract culinary tourists.

You’ll find highlights from the panel discussion in our Business Insight report on culinary tourism. We hope you will find some inspiring ideas here for your business or organization.

We’d like to thank the panellists for sharing their stories and Mary Tulle, CEO of Destination Cape Breton, for moderating the panel. And a very big thank-you to Michael Howell and Lia Rinaldo, organizers of Devour! The Food Film Fest and our partners in this event.

We’d also like to invite you to stay in contact with us to continue the conversation about culinary tourism in the Annapolis Valley.

There are so many wonderful opportunities for visitors to experience in the Annapolis Valley and we know that there is strong interest in developing the regional market for culinary tourism.

The time is right for municipalities, businesses, and communities to act together to build on the Valley’s exceptional opportunities for tourism.
