Newcomers play an important role in strengthening the Annapolis Valley’s workforce, businesses, and communities. As labour shortages continue across key sectors, immigration remains an important tool for helping employers attract and retain the talent they need to grow.
Valley REN works with employers to help navigate available immigration pathways, understand current program requirements, and connect with the appropriate resources to support workforce needs.
Our services are delivered in collaboration with the Immigration and Population Growth team at the Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration.
Supporting Workforce Growth
Valley REN provides immigration navigation services to employers across the Annapolis Valley through a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC).
Whether you are exploring international recruitment for the first time or looking to better understand available immigration options, we can help guide you through the process and connect you with the appropriate programs and resources.
Support may include:
- Information on provincial and federal immigration pathways
- Guidance on employer eligibility and immigration requirements
- Support understanding workforce needs and available immigration options
- Referrals to government programs and community partners
- Information sessions and employer education
- Connections to settlement and newcomer support services

Meet Lynn Jin
A Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant with more than five years of professional experience, Lynn has proudly called the Annapolis Valley home for over 10 years. She is passionate about helping local businesses address labour shortages by navigating the complexities of Canada’s labour market and immigration processes, while supporting employers, individuals, and families along the way.
Outside of work, Lynn enjoys spending quality time with her family, watching movies, staying active, playing games, and catching up with friends.

Welcome Guide
Our Welcome Groups assist newcomers facing challenges to successfully integrate into their new communities. Challenges can include language and culture barriers, health issues, unemployment, and limited social connections. It provides a platform for community engagement and addresses these challenges, ensuring that it complements the work of existing service providers and is tailored to the needs of individual newcomer families.
