Regional Economic Recovery Taskforce

The Valley Regional Enterprise Network has established the Annapolis Valley Regional Economic Recovery Taskforce, in partnership with regional municipalities, organizations, and stakeholders, to collaboratively assist Annapolis Valley businesses in recovering from the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Recovery Taskforce and Response Teams:
  • Provide support and services to help businesses in our region respond to the immediate economic impact of COVID-19 and
  • Guide the development of an economic recovery plan leveraging industry expertise, used to reenergize our economy, retain our business base and support employers and workers in getting people back to work as soon as possible.

We have a tremendous ecosystem of supports for businesses in our region with a wealth of knowledge and experience. We hope that the Response Teams created to continue to be used as a vehicle to help businesses in our region, not only to stay connected and informed but also as a sounding board for business solutions and challenges.

The first draft of the Regional Economic Recovery Plan was presented to the Regional Economic Recovery Taskforce, and the Business Supports and Workforce Supports Response Teams in late May and early June 2020.

The Plan works toward reenergizing and restoring our economy and charts a path forward for a stronger, more resilient region. The Plan will be updated as the recovery situation evolves. The latest version of our Plan is Annapolis Valley Regional Economic Recovery Plan 05-18-22.
